Long flint flake from blade manufacture. Probably produced by indirect percussion. Pale grey and mid brownish-grey flint with a low gloss patina. There is a small striking platform at the proximal end. On the ventral surface, the bulb of percussion is shallow with a bulbar scar and there are waves of percussion along the length of the flake. The flake tapers sharply to the distal end, is quite curved (the dorsal face being convex)and twists slightly. There are several elongate flaking scars (of similar pattern to the flake itself) on the dorsal surface. Dimensions: 51.5 x 33.5 x 6 mm. …

Large flint end scraper with one edge additionally worked into a knife by pressure flaking. Patchy mid-grey and dark grey flint with pale grey mottles. The flint as a high gloss patina. Made using a large tertiary flake, present on the ventral surface are bulb of percussion (with large bulbar scar) and faint waves. The striking platform is present at the proximal end. The dorsal surface has several long flaking scars. At the out-curved distal end there is an area of fairly steep retouch, forming a scraper. Along the left side of the dorsal face are transverse pressure flaking scars (w…

A late Neolithic or early Bronze Age plano-convex flint knife. At the proximal end of the object is its striking platform and bulb of percussion, from which ripples radiate on the ventral side. The striking platform has a small lip suggesting a soft hammer strike. A small piece of nodule cortex is present to one side of the striking platform. On the dorsal surface are some longitudinal trace scars. These have largely been obscured by the invasive transverse pressure flaking used to produce a knife from the flake. The object's cross section is plano-convex and in plan it tapers to a poi…

A tertiary flint waste flate. At the proximal end is the striking platform (which is at a slight angle off to one side) and bulb of percussion, from which ripples radiate. The dorsal surface has two clear vertical flaking scars. The damage around the edges does not represent deliberate retouching.

End scraper. At the proximal end is the striking platform, below which, on the ventral side, is a pronounced bulb of percussion. Several broad ripples radiate from it. On the dorsal side, the convex distal end has been retouched. Other flakes have been removed around the edges on both the dorsal and ventral surfaces, but these appear to reflect accidental damage rather than deliberate working.

A small worked flint object which may be the tip of a tool such as a knife. The flint is unifacially worked, with small regular pressure flaking on the dorsal side. The striking platform and bulb of percussion are missing because the flint has snapped just above the tip. At this point, the profile of the object is triangular with 3 flaking scars on the dorsal side. The milky light grey mid-gloss patina has been removed by the retouch to reveal more beige-coloured flint beneath. It is therefore possible that this formed part of a waste flake which was reworked at a later date.

A small secondary flint flake, which has been snapped. There is a small striking platform at the proximal end and a clear bulb of percussion on the ventral surface. Waves radiate from here towards the distal end. Also at the proximal end is a small piece of nodule cortex. The mid-brown mottled flint has a mid-gloss patina. At the point where the flake has been snapped, its profile is triangular, with two even flaking scars on the dorsal side. The flake may be a by-product of blade manufacture.

Awl made from a large secondary flake. Mid brownish grey flint with a mid-gloss milky patina and a large area of off-white nodule cortex. At the proximal end is a small striking platform below which the dorsal surface has flaked. There is a scarred bulb of percussion on the ventral face. The distal end of the flake has been trimmed on both edges to produce a small point. The edges incurve slightly and have numerous small flaking scars.
