The striking platform has a small lip suggesting a soft hammer strike. A small piece of nodule cortex is present to one side of the striking platform. A small worked flint object which may be the tip of a tool such as a knife. The flint is unifacially worked, with small regular pressure flaking on the dorsal side. The striking platform and bulb of percussion are missing because the flint has snapped just above the tip. At this point, the profile of the object is triangular with 3 flaking scars on the dorsal side. The milky light grey mid-gloss patina has been removed by the retouch to reveal more beige-coloured flint beneath. It is therefore possible that this formed part of a waste flake which was reworked at a later date.

Awl made from a large secondary flake. Mid brownish grey flint with a mid-gloss milky patina and a large area of off-white nodule cortex. At the proximal end is a small striking platform below which the dorsal surface has flaked. There is a scarred bulb of percussion on the ventral face. The distal end of the flake has been trimmed on both edges to produce a small point. The edges incurve slightly and have numerous small flaking scars.
