A fragment of tertiary flint waste flake. Grey-brown flint with a small area of older, white patination on the dorsal surface. The proximal end has been broken off and at the distal end is a hinge fracture. There are numerous, closely spaced waves of percussion faintly visible on the ventral surface. There are a few, small, elongate flake removal scars on the dorsal face. Dimensions: 28.8 mm x 20.6 mm x 6.3 mm Weight: 4.26g Date: Neolithic to Early Bronze Age - c.4000 - 1600 BC

A flint microlith of probable Mesolithic date. The microlith is a tertiary flake of mottled mid brownish-grey flint. It measures 26.7mm by 9.2mm by 2.9mm and weighs 0.7g. It appears to have been manufactured using the microburin technique to remove the proximal end. There are several longitudinal flaking scars on the dorsal surface. One lateral side has been retouched along its entire length. The retouch is short and very abrupt.
