A broken and incomplete Neolithic flaked and polished flint axe, dating to c.4000-2350 BC. The surviving axe is sub-triangular in form with a crescent blade edge on one side and an irregular horizontal break on the opposite side. The long edges expand from the rounded point to this wider broken terminal. The axehead is 6.5mm thick at the blade edge and expands along its surviving length to 26.9mm thick at the terminal. A complete flint flake of later prehistoric (Neolithic to Bronze Age) date, c. 3000-1500 BC. The flake has been hard hammer struck from a tertiary striking of a motlled white flint with a grey core. The platform is retained as is the bulb. There is no retouch evident.
