A Middle Palaeolithic Levallois flake
The flake is struck with a hard hammer on a piece of pale grey flint that is developing a yellow patina over areas of its surface. The flake has a plain striking platform and there are traces of cortex surviving on the dorsal surface. The flake edges are abraded, rolled and slightly chipped.

Plano-convex flint knife, probably of Early Bronze Age II-III date, corresponding to Needham's (1996) Period 3 c. 2,000 - 1,700BC. The knife is 51.7mm long and may have suffered some damage to the proximal end. The knife is widest about the mid point with a width of 20.6mm and a maximum thickness of 6.9mm. Both faces have been finely pressure flaked, although, as is typical there is more extensive pressure flaking on the dorsal surface. Post Medieval gun flint, probably of 17th century date
The flint is near-square, with a length of 20.7mm and a width of 19.1mm. The sides taper towards to the flat top platform (thickness 6.3mm). The gun flint is made on dark blue flint, which has patinated a little at the clipped edge. The flint weighs 3.7g.
