Approximately half(?) of a flaked and ground stone Graig Lwyd axe comprising the butt end. Narrow oval in section. The long side edges are facetted, or flattened and measure 6.62mm wide towards the front and narrowing to 4.69mm wide at the butt. This feature doesn't continue around the butt edge. Overall the surface is generally smooth but irregular with several of the deeper flaking sites surviving as shallow, rough concave scars and more particularly on one face than the other.
