A large irregular elongate flint blade flake with a triangular cross-section. The flint is mottled grey with a mid-gloss patina covered with a white to off-white re-cortification and red-brown ferrous stains. The dorsal surface retains weathered chalky cortex over most of one side; a single partial long flake scar, possibly from a similarily sized blade flake removal occupies the other side. There is crude dorsal retouch to the cortex margin. Similar flaking at the distal end may be post depositional damage or crude retouch. The ventral side has a smooth bulb of per…

A thin, oval flint blade flake. The flint has a semi-gloss patina with thin off-white patination with occasional red-brown ferrous stains. The original colour of the flint is uncertain.  The dorsal face has two parallel scars from previous blade flake removals, with a thin sliver of a third to one margin; the other margin retains an area of chalky nodule cortex. The ventral face has a low, diffuse bulb of percussion below a small area of flat striking platform, with slight low ripples developing at the distal end.  Slight post-depositional edge damage is ev…

A possible Levalloisian core flake. Sub-oval in shape with a lenticular cross-section. The flaking appears intentionally to have shaped the flint while still on the original core, creating a distinctive 'tortoise shell' flaking, typical of Levallois flint technology. The ventral face shows a prominent bulb of percussion indicating probable use of a hard hammer. The flint is opaque and mid-grey with a mid-gloss patina but is now covered in a smooth off-white recortification except for an area of modern damage on the right side margin of the dorsal face which exposes the natural colour …
