Debitage flake of the Mesolithic to Early Neolithic period, dating from c. 10,000 - c. 2351 BC. The object is probably a secondary flake removed from a larger core, and then subjected to further working, it is possible it is an unfinished awl or borer. The object is a broad reverse P shaped in plan and a shallow C shape in section. Around 30% of the dorsal face is covered by the remaining cortex. The dorsal face has three large removal scars, one at the distal end, one in the centre and one at the proximal end. All scars exhibit prominent conchoidal ripple marks. There are multiple…

A complete knapped lithic implement of the late Neolithic to early Bronze Age period, probably dating from c. 2400 - c. 1600 BC. The object is probably a secondary flake removed from a larger core, and then subjected to further working, and was probably used as a scraper tool. The object is broadly pentagonal in plan and broadly D shaped in section. Around 95% of the remaining cortex covers the ventral face of the tool. There are two removal scars on the surface on the left side, the lower removal is broadly triangular in plan and the upper removal is broadly square with pronounced…

The object is probably a secondary flake removed from a larger core, and then subjected to further working. The object is broadly semi circular in plan and triangular in section. Around 30% of the cortex still remains on the left side of the dorsal face. The dorsal face shows evidence of striking from multiple platforms for the removal of small flakes or chips at varying angles. Flint working debitage of probably the mid to late Bronze Age period, dating from c. 1600 - c. 800 BC. The object is probably an implement formed of a tertiary flake removed from a larger core, and then subjected to further working. The object is broadly rectangular in plan and a tapered D shape in section. The dorsal face has two broadly rectangular removal scars on the surface, the removal on the right side is narrower than the one on the left, and both exhibit conchoidal ripple marks radiating from the striking platform at the proximal end. Nine flakes of flint knapping debitage (waste material) of varying dates and patinas but mostly of grey-cream-orange colouration. Each fragment carries signs of having been knapped such as ridges, bulbs or percussion, striking platforms and ripples. There is no evidence of retouch. The size of two of the flakes indicates a Mesolithic date but collections of debitage are difficult to date where no tools or implements are also found. Dated broadly as Paleaolithic to Neolithic.

Worked lithic implement of Neolithic, probably Early Neolithic date. The flint is of an amber-brown mottled colour with partial cortex remaining along one edge. The flake is approximately 3 times longer than it is wide and has abrupt or semi-abrupt sub-parallel retouch along all sides apart from the are where a length of cortex remains which covers approximately half of one of the longer sides. It is notable that two of the retouched edges form a near right-angle at the point where they meet. The opposite corner along this short-edge, which may have formed a burin or borer point, is…

Near complete flint barbed and tanged arrowhead dating from the Middle Bronze Age. The flint is a semi-opaque amber-brown colour. The arrowhead is an elongated pointed oval in section and is a straight-sided triangle in plan. The tang is broad with narrower barbs to either side one of which is mostly missing - It is not possible to determine the original length of these barbs in relation to the tang. The arrowhead is worked on both faces with covering, scaled, low-angle retouch. According to Green's 1980 classification system this example most closely represents an arrowhead of Conyga…
