A possible early Mesolithic adze or tranchet axe dating to c. 9000-8000 BC. Flint, mid grey with light grey and dark brown patches. The adze is cordate in shape, and sub oval in cross section. It has been bifacially flaked using a soft hammer. There are voids in the flint. Length: 140.9mm, width: 47.4mm, thickness: 28.5mm, weight: g. The adze is of possible 'Thames pick' type, a term used to describe less symmetrical tranchet axes which sometimes still retain cortex on the surface.

A complete flint core rejuvenation flake from the Mesolithic period, dating from 9000-4300 BC. The flint is a long triangular shape. On the dorsal face there are conchoidal ripple marks running up the flint. These are weak suggesting that a soft hammer was used. On the proximal end is a small striking platform. A Mesolithic flint tranchet axe. The axe is oval in shape and a light grey colour with iron staining. A small amount of cortex remains in the centre of one side and in small patches on the side edges. It has a shallow biconvex profile, although one side edge slopes downwards, giving the profile a twisted appearance. Flakes have been removed from the surface on both sides; on one side a large flake has been removed at a possible later date, leaving a step in the side edge.
