TREASURE CASE 2017 T515 Description: A complete but distorted silver finger ring of medieval date. The finger ring has a flat profile with a rectangular bezel slightly wider than the main band, but also flat in section and plan. The bezel is decorated with incised 'rocker-arm' patterns comprising a zig-zag between a straight border on the bezel and abstract lozenge and linear designs on each shoulder. The designs on the shoulders is reminiscent of the Christian fish symbol, with a line through the head however this may just be coincidence. The remainder of the band is undecorated both …
