A sherd from the rim of a Roman ceramic Samian ware vessel.  The sherd comes from the rim of a deep-sided vessel, probably a bowl, but is too small to estimate the original diameter. The fabric is hard and fine, red-orange with a glossy red-orange slip. Probably of central Gaulish Les Martres-de-Veyre production (LMV SA), which was mostly exported to Britain in the early 2nd century AD. A Roman ceramic body sherd from a vessel dating to circa AD 43-250. The vessel is samian ware. It is rectangular sectioned with a deep orange, fine fabric with glossy slip. The outer face is adorned with relief decoration comprised of a transverse beaded groove with two opposed double arches separated by columns. The sherd is probable of mid-southern Gaulish manufacture. The sherd is too small to assess the diameter of the vessel.

A complete Medieval ceramic decorative floor tile dating to circa AD 1200-1400.It is square in plan and section with bevelled edges. The fabric is a orange-red and is machine made. The front and back were glazed though no trace of glazing survives on the edges. A rim sherd from a Roman greyware vessel. The rim of the vessel would have been c.10 cm in diameter originally. Probably a large jar and the sherd comes from just above where the body of the vessel would have flared outwards. The core is light grey, while both surfaces are dark grey with a lustrous sheen. The fabric is hard and coarse and is tempered with moderate amounts of fine, rounded quartz sand (<0.5mm) Probably later Roman, 3rd to 4th century AD date. A Roman fragment of a ceramic terra sigillata (Samian ware) vessel dating to circa AD 43-300. It is a decorated body sherd of form Dragendorff 37 or 30. It is slightly curved in profile with a pink fabric. The fragment has a stamped decoration on the external face depicts a 5 leaf petal on the right handside.
