A Post-Medieval copper-alloy Irish 'gun money' halfcrown of James II (AD 1685-1688), dated August 1690. Mint of Dublin.
Dimensions: diameter: 32.61mm; weigh: 17.00g.
These coins were minted during the Williamite War in Ireland (AD 1689-1691) and were to be redeemed for silver coinage after the war. They were made from old cannons, bells and scrap metal. James failed in his attempt and the coins were never exchanged.

A complete Post Medieval copper alloy thimble, c.AD 1700-1800.
The outside of the thimble has twelve horizontal lines of square indentations or incised pits, these line up, are very regular, and are roughly arranged in two fields. Running around the lower edge of the thimble are three incised line. The inside is undecorated. The thimble has been slightly squashed.

Pressed metal conical or domed thimble, missing its base due to deposition damage. The walls have round machine-stamped pits in diagonal rows ascending the wall. The top is made separately and soldered on with a clear join; the top of the thimble appears to be plain without any pits.

A complete copper alloy token dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1780-1800).
The object is badly worn and corroded. In oblique light, the front face shows a man's head, with a distinct collar and hair tied at the back. The words "JOHN WILKINSON IRON" are just legible. The reverse of the token shows a seated blacksmith working metal with a hammer on an anvil, with the word "HALFPENNY" just legible. The object has a green / brown patina.
