A copper-alloy Apothecary weight of probable post-medieval date. For similar examples, see Biggs, 1994, pp. 7. The weight is sub-rectangular in plan, having rounded corners, and is of thin section. Both sides bear stamped merchant's marks. On one side are three letters (possibly 'IOS') within an oval border; below this is a monogram containing the letters 'SA'. On the other side is a number '8' above a monogram containing 'RX' and at the bottom is what appears to be a number, possibly (?the date) '1698'. The object measures 21.3mm high, 18.6m wide and 1.7mm thick. The weight is 4.32g.

A square, copper alloy coin weight of postmedieval date. The weight is stamped with a left-facing, bearded and laureate Roman-type bust within a circular border on the obverse; the reverse bears the Roman numerals 'XX', surmounted by a crown. It is thus clear that the weight is for 20 shillings, and it is known as a'laurel'. Coin weights of this type date to the late 16th and early 17th century. Most can be dated to between AD 1620 and 1632. L/W 17mm Th 3.9mm Mass 8.1g

This silver coin was probably minted during the reign of Edward I (1272-1307). The obverse shows a crowned bust facing within a circle of pin points. On the reverse there is a long cross patte with three curved pellets within each quarter. This identification is tentative, since the inscriptions and images are extremely worn.

A small silver coin which may be a Henry IV penny of York, 'light coinage' (North 1960 Vol 2, plate 1 figure 17). This identification could be confirmed by the presence of the obverse inscription 'HENRIC' and the reverse inscription 'DUNOLM' (Durham)(North 1960, Vol. 2. page 50, number 1364). However the coin is too worn for either to be legible.
