Tinned sheet copper alloy bar mount with central rosette, surrounded by a beaded circle, and bilobate ends in the form of two domed bosses. Similar mounts have been found attached to short leather straps which were probably used to pass over the instep of the foot to attach spurs to boots (Egan & Pritchard, 2002, p.215). A sheet copper-alloy multifoil mount of Medieval date. It is circular in form, dome-shaped and with stamped decoration on the front face. This comprises a central raised boss that has a small circular rivet hole, surrounded by six similar raised circular bosses and finally 12 circular bosses around the outer edge. It measures 20.44mm in diamater, 3.38mm in height, and weighs 1.20g. This mount is similar to sexfoil and octagonal mounts from late Medieval contexts in London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991: nos. 1013-1014, 1121) and probably dates to the 14th or 15th century AD.

A sheet copper-alloy sexfoil mount of Medieval date. It is dome-shaped with uneven central perforation and small circular rivet holes on two of the opposing facets. This mount measures 18.99mm in diamater, 5.36mm in height, and weighs 0.85g. It is near identical to an example from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991: no. 1001) and probably dates to the 14th or 15th century AD.

The central image is that of a six-petalled flower head, each petal being of equal size and form and separated from the next by a groove. At the centre of the mount is a small rivet hole. A copper-alloy sexfoil mount of Medieval date. The mount has been stamped from a piece of sheet-metal. It has six convex petals separated by grooves which cross at the centre. The underside is hollow and there is a possible corroded rivet attachment at the middle. The object is bent and corroded. It measures 16.6mm in diameter, 2.2mm thick and weighs 0.93g. Several examples of sexfoil mounts have been found in excavations in London (see Egan and Pritchard 1991: 186-193).

A die-stamped copper alloy Medieval mount. This is a sexfoil shaped mount with rounded ‘petals’. It is made from sheet metal that has been die-stamped. It is convex and has a circular hole which is not placed centrally. There are also two small rivet holes with copper alloy rivets still in place. Weight 0.6g, diameter 12.32mm, minimum thickness 1mm. The mount has a very dark green patina. Parallels can be seen in Read, 2001 Metal Finds of Antiquity, nos.103-107. Read's examples are dated 1350-1400.

Neatly made medieval domed sexfoil mount stamped out of copper-alloy sheet. Each of the foils is itself domed and the outline of the mount follows these lobes precisely. The curve of the dome is concave and there is iron corrosion from a rivet at the centre. Similar mounts in Egan and Pritchard 1991 (nos. 952-957) date to the second half of the 14th century. 13 mm in maximum diameter, 4 mm deep, 0.44g.

A copper-alloy mount of Medieval date. The mount has been stamped from a sheet of metal. It is sub-square in plan, having a shallow convex portion at the centre of each side. At the centre of the mount is a raised square with a central rivet hole. The mount is decorated with an incised cross which corresponds with the concave portions on the sides and has the rivet hole at its centre. The end of each cross arm is flanked by a pair of small circular indentations. The artefact measures 13.8mm wide, 13.8mm long and 3mm high. The weight is 1.05g.
