A complete copper-alloy sestertius of Marcus Aurelius as Augustus (AD 161-80), dating to AD 165-66 (Reece Period 8). Square flan possibly clipped? Obverse: bearded bust facing right and reverse: possibly TR POT XX IMP IIII COS III S-C, Victory standing facing, head turned right, holding long palm in right hand and placing shield inscribed VIC PAR atop tree in left hand but now totally worn. Mint of Rome. RIC vol. III, pp. 286-7, cf. nos. 922, 929 & 931. The coin is preserved in a worn condition, with a green patina covering most of both surfaces. Similar to PUBLIC-765BFA on the database.
