A complete Medieval cast silver-gilt finger ring, of stirrup style, and dating to c.AD.1150-1500. Description: The object is stirrup shaped, with a sub-circular hoop rising to a triangular bezel. In cross-section the hoop is D-shaped and is uninscribed. The bezel has an integrally cast silver boss, in place and in imitation of a gem setting. The ring is a bright gold in colour, with patches of the gilding having worn away to reveal the silver beneath. The object has two small nicks but is otherwise in good condition and complete. A circular plate bearing the framed image of the Virgin and Child, the Virgin crowned and with sceptre and the Child haloed, viewed against a cross-hatched ground within a cabled inner border, a gutter, and an outer frame which is externally lined. A complete silver Post Medieval cufflink dating to the period AD 1750-1800. The cuff link comprises two flat, slightly domed, discs joined by an off-centred circular-sectioned bar. The outer face of one disc is decorated with a stamped flower consisting of four petals around a central cross-hatched circle. Each petal contains an arched groove, and between each petal is another groove defining back petals. The opposite face of the second disc is plain. The cufflink measures 6.8mm in height. Each disc is 13.8mm diameter and 1.2mm thick. The object weighs 2.70 grams.

Description: A silver Roman denarius that has been incorporated into a finger ring as the bezel. The hoop is rectangular in cross-section, flaring at the shoulders with a longitudinal groove along the centre of the outer face of each shoulder.
