An incomplete and warped copper alloy Buckle with integral plate probably a Spur Buckle dating to the Medieval period c. AD 1250 - 1400. The loop and pin are missing from the frame. The buckle would have had an oval loop which is now missing barring one bent oval cross sectioned arm. This attaches to a sub-rectangular plate, flat cross section, that is pierced by five circular (2.5mm diameter) hole.
