A copper alloy arm from a Victorian or Edwarian "skirt lifter" comprising a curved rod, of circular cross section, which terminates in a 5.73 mm wide bowl at one end and a asymmetrically flattened terminal at the other, which is broken across the site of a rounded hole of diameter 2.92 mm. There is a deep nick on the underside near the bowl end. The arm is bent. Length: 81.25 mm; Width: 5.73 mm; Weight: 5.90g See NLM-1BDE73, NLM-1F4B55, SUR-DB3645 and NLM-68BA88 for direct parallels. This type of object is frequently mis-identified as a Roman ear scoop.

Post Medieval (mid 16th to 17th centuries) dress fastener - eye-clasp. A copper alloy dress fastening which is the 'eye' and not the 'hook'. The body of the dress fastening is a sub-oval which is waisted in plan with a truncated terminal. One terminal has a integral circular loop on each corner and the the other terminal a central, incomplete, circular loop. The clasp is undecorated. A moulded copper alloy fastener, probably for a dress or similar garment. It consists of three hemispheres together. On each of these are moulded three circles with a central hole, two circles towards the inside and one on the outside in a triangular formation. Around the base and over the top of each hemisphere is a braided effect, and in the gap between this in the centre of the piece is a further, raised circular feature with a central knop. A post medieval cast dress fastener. A trefoil plate with a decorated outer edge and three domed decorated bosses with a smaller raised circular boss at the centre. The domes are arranged in a triangle, and attached behind two of the domes is a loop. On the reverse of the bottom loop are the remains of the hook. This example is similar to Brian Read's Class D, Type 6 hooked clasps recorded in Hooked Clasps and Eyes, 2008, page 78, number 260. The object has a triangular plate with moulded decoration in the form of a facing zoomorphic mask, with snout, whiskers and long ears to either side, flanked by a frame with floral or foliate sprays down each curving long side of the plate.
