A wooden pulley sheave of Post Medieval date, about AD 1800 - 1950, probably from ship's rigging. It is a circular disc of wood, with a circular central hole of 53mm diameter. Around the hole on both faces is a trefoil shaped recess, with a smaller hole through the disc in the centre of each lobe. These holes are of 10 - 11mm diameter. The whole sheave is 144mm diameter and 40mm thick. The recesses are 6 - 8mm deep. It has a smooth, water-worn surface. 450g.
