A complete cast copper-alloy sword or dagger chape of probable late Medieval to early Post-Medieval date, c. 1450-1550. The chape is sub-triangular in plan, with tapering sides and a rounded base. Formed from a single piece of sheet metal folded around on itself and subsequently squashed flat in post depositional damage, its upper edge is widely scalloped, with a central cut-out trefoil flanked by two small circular apertures visible at the apex of one face. A small assemblage of ceramic sherds (2) dating to the later Roman period, c. 100-350 AD. Both pieces are body sherds of Nene Valley colour coated ware, demonstrating orange internal fabrics covered with black slip. One of the sherds demonstrates rouletted 'feathered' decoration on its outer face, the other being undecorated. Both quite weathered and much of the slip eroded away. Combined weight: 11.45g.

A complete but distorted coppper-alloy composite strap end dating to the Medieval period, c. 1250-1400. It is rectangular in plan although bent at an angle of about 45 degrees c. 2/3 of the way up its total length as a result of old damage. Tapering slightly along its length towards a projecting tri-lobed terminal, the two plates which make up both sides of the object are attached at their upper edge by a single circular-sectioned copper-alloy rivet and just above the terminal by a second. The fragment consists part of the purse frame itself, curving in plan and being 'L' shaped in section with a recessed middle, tapering towards one end while being abruptly truncated at the other.
