Medieval copper alloy composite folding clasp, deep cut-sheet rectangular frame (length 12mm, width 12.5mm), separate narrow copper alloy bar with folding end (length 7mm, width 12.5mm). The frame is recessed for the slightly trapezoidal plate (length 17.5mm, width 10mm), also recessed and with single copper alloy rivet at attachment-end. Combined length 27mm. See Egan and Pritchard 1991, fig.78, nos. 564-6. Later 13th-14th century.

Late Saxon copper alloy finger ring of oval cross-section with pointed terminals, now distorted into an open curve (so that the terminals are 48mm apart). Estimated external diameter c.20mm. Maximum width and thickness of hoop 3.2 and 2.8mm. This type was widespread in East Anglia (Goodall, A.R. in Rogerson and Dallas 1984, 69, fig. 110, nos. 17-22). 10th - mid 11th century.

On the underside is a horizontally pierced lug. Height 32mm. Cf. examples from St Peter's church, Guestwick, Norfolk (Williams, V. in Rogerson et al. 1987, 73, fig.50, no.2), Norwich (Huddle, J. in Emery, P. A. 2007, 153, fig. 5.47) and London, one in a later 14th-cent. context (Egan 1998, 130-1, nos. 356-7).

Medieval rotary key for a casket formed from folded copper alloy sheet, badly distorted with the shank bent through more than a right angle. The narrow bow is cut straight at the proximal end and has a small punched aperture. The simple bit with one rectangular cleft is pierced by a rivet. The butt seam is visible throughout the length and an attempt has been made to maintain a hollow shank. Length c.50mm. Width of bow 8mm (aperture diameter 3.5mm). Width at mid-point 4mm, at bit 9.5mm. 12th - 15th century.
