Rim sherd of a salt glazed stoneware pottery vessel dating from the post medieval period (1600-1750). The sherd is most likely to be from the neck of a relatively thin walled jug or bottle. The fabric of the sherd is a hard fired stoneware with a large amount of mica in the fabric. The fabric colour is a uniform grey white colour and the outer and inner surfaces have a shiny mid yellow grey salt glaze. A suggested diameter of the mouth of the vessel is 7cm, and it represents 10% of the rim. The height or capacity of the vessel cannot be estimated. The sherd measures 29.5mm length, 22.5…
