Cast copper alloy fragment from a locking buckle of probable later medieval or early post medieval date (1450-1600). The fragment consists of a small sub-rectangular bar with a clear deliberate bend. One edge is broken; this damage is unpatinated and relatively recent. The other end terminates in a sub oval shaped knop, which is decorated with diagonal cast grooves. Incomplete fragment from a cast copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date (post 1660). The fragment consists of a small area of the outer frame being broadly sub-rectangular in plan and a faceted D shaped in cross section. The breaks are fresh and unpatinated suggesting recent damage. On the fragment there is no evidence of a pin rest or contraction in the thickness of the frame. It is decorated with a single cast line around the outer edge of the upper face. Cast copper alloy button of probable Post Medieval date (1600-1700 AD). The button consists of a circular, probably hollow domed (D sectioned) head, with a separate cast back plate with integral shank set off centre at 90ΒΊ to the angle of the head. The shank is formed from a length of copper alloy wire. The domed head of the button is undecorated (although heavily dented) as is the reverse face.
