An incomplete, heavily abraded Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type dating from AD 90-130. The brooch has been heavily abraded during its time in the soil. It is undecorated. The bow is hump-shaped, and less than half of it remains. The foot and catch plate have been lost. One of the two wings has been broken off, the other remains which is semi-cylindrical in shape. Bronze Age copper alloy spearhead fragment of side-looped type, dating to the Taunton-Penard metalworking phases (c.1400-1100 BC) of the Middle Bronze Age. The spearhead is broken at both ends and would have been short with a flame- or leaf-shaped blade. The circular socket becomes lozenge-shaped as it defines the central rib of the blade. The remnants of both loops are present at the base of the fragment and appear slight with a circular section.

A well preserved but incomplete cast copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill type of Roman date (AD 80-120). The wings are complete with flat and pierced end caps. A fragment of a Post Medieval crotal bell. The fragment is plain except for a rib at the circumference. The fragment contains the semi-circular edge of an opening. The fragment is dark green in colour with a smooth surface. The diameter would of been about 4-5cm. The wall is 2.3mm thick. The fragment weighs 5.3g.

The bowl of a post medieval (later 17th century) clay tobacco pipe. This bowl is broadly oval and is at an angle of about 55 degrees to the plane of the flat heel. The stem is oval in cross-section and the bore is offset. The shape, size and angle of the bowl, along with the wide bore of the stem suggest a later 17th century date c1660-1680. There are two incised, rouletted concentric rings approximately 5-8mm below the rim of the bowl. The top ring is plain, the lower one patterned. A machine pressed enamelled button of probable modern (1850-1930) date. The button is machine pressed with a pierced debased triskelle like design comprising three crescent shaped arms terminating in trefoil / clover shaped bosses - these bosses are decorated with red and green enamel. The button is a mid brown colour with a corroded surface patina. The remains of an iron hoop are present on the reverse. The button measures 22.3mm diameter is 6.8mm thick and weighs 1.64 grams

An incomplete clay pipe dating between 1660 and 1700. This artefact consists of just the bowl and foot. The bowl is bulbous and about 22 degress from perpendicular to the foot. There is a simple band of vertical indentations below the bowl rim. There is no makers stamp on the foot. The bowl opening varies from 10.1mm to 10.6mm in diameter. The pipe is 36.3mm high, with a maximum diameter in its middle of 20.7mm. It weighs 12.2g.

This weight is marked on both sides with a turned double circle on exterior edge which encloses over 3 lines S // 21 // 5 rosette / sunburst 9. Both faces share the same die axis and the coin weight is a mid-green colour with mild abrasion The coin weight measures 21.5mm diameter, is 3.0mm thick and weighs 8.19 grams ( .289oz / 126.4 grains)

The remains of the hook are now missing that would have once attached to another fastener through a rectangular shaped piercing. The fragment is from the outer frame of the buckle; it is crescent shaped in plan and varies in section through its length. The mid part is thickened but there is no evidence of decoration or pin rest / pin recess. It is a mid green colour with an abraded patina which is laminating in places.
