A cast copper-alloy end cap (terminal / pommel) from a scale-tang knife of later medieval or post-medieval date (AD 1400-1600) The terminal is incomplete and one side has been damaged - originally the cap would have been fleur-de-lis shaped with a central domed element which was flanked by two out-turned crescents - only one of which survives. A deep central longitudinal sub-rectangular (V shaped) slot that enabled a tang to be accommodated is present at one end of the knife. A cast lead alloy cloth seal of post medieval date (1550-1800). The cloth seal is incomplete and broken - almost all detail is lost through corrosion and abrasion. The seal is formed of two discs conjoined by a folded tablike strip. The central spike which would have penetrated the cloth is lost - suggesting that this seal has been deliberately removed before being discarded, The design on the front face is indistinct - possibly being a large A with heavy cross bar and top bar; the reverse face is broken and distorted due to damage. A cast copper alloy fragment most probably from a medieval 'roller' buckle (1350-1500). The fragment is relatively small comprising a pointed oval hoop from which extends two horizontal bars - one either side . The mid point of one side of the oval has a deliberate worn pin rest / notch. The buckle is a mid grey green colour with an applied black coloured surface - possibly decayed tinning. A 17th-century post-medieval copper-alloy quarter ounce trade weight, dating from the reign of Charles I or II (1625-1685). The pan weight is formed of a thick disc. On the front there is a raised circumferential rim with an incuse ring at the centre, surrounded by fine circumferential turning marks. A cast copper alloy fragment - most probably from a steelyard of Roman date (AD 50-350). The fragment is rectangular in plan and profile and triangular in cross section. The upper surface has a series of incised transverse grooves / notches which are evenly spaced suggesting that they are deliberately graded. The surface of the fargment is poorly preserved with a dark green coloured polished patina being present - which has been heavily eroded and the metal has corroded to a mid- purpleish brown colour. An incomplete post-medieval cast copper-alloy strap-fitting. The artefact consists of a blunt hook, bent slightly to one side, which holds a separate pendent ring. Above the hook the mount is sub oval with two lugs above that bifurcate forming a V shape. Beyond this is mount is broken, so that it is now incomplete. The mount was attached by a single iron rivet in the centre of the oval element, just below the bifurcation, the corroded remains of which are still present in the fitting. An incomplete, cast, copper alloy spur from c1600-c1700. The artefact consists of the heel band only. The band is plain and badly mishapen due to a crush and both its terminals are missing. The neck has snapped off leaving just its oval stump on the heel band. The heel band tapers down in both thickness and cross sectional width towards its terminals. It is an half oval in cross section with the flat face on the inside. Length 43mm, width 35mm. Weight 13.4g.

An incomplete post-medieval copper-alloy flat dress fastener with foliate decoration dating from the late 16th century or the 17th century. This is an eye section with its rectangular attachment end into which a blunt hook would fit, and a sub oval plate which originally had three attachment knops: two lateral, angled knops survive. A fragment of a Roman, cast copper alloy, Polden Hill brooch. The much abarded fragment comes from the head of the brooch and consists of the base of the bow and one arm. The bow is broad and thin, at its base a central rib runs towards the spring housing and may once of extended beyond the bow for the spring to attach to. Under the bow is rectangular groove for the spring, with a further square grove under the remaining arm. The brooch is dark green with extensive area of light green corrosion. The fragment is 9.6mm long, 19.5mm wide and 13.7mm high. It weighs 4.1g.
