A late post medieval buckle. The buckle frame is oval and it curves inwards suggesting it was a shoe buckle. The buckle has a chape that is now fused to the frame and the chape has a stud at it terminal that held it to the shoe. The frame has a central pin and drilling does not extend through to the outside of the frame. The tongue is broken with only it stub remaining. Copper alloy fragment from a tap of post medieval or early modern date (1600-1850). The fragment consists of the lower spigot / barrel which projects into the body of the barrel. The outer edge is grooved with a series of tapering broadly parallel ridges and the interior is smooth. All the broken edges are relatively fresh being unpatinated. The fragment is a mid grey green colour with a powdery surface patina. The fragment measures 18.1mm length, 14.3mm width, is 2.5mm thick and weighs 4.15 grams

Cast copper alloy strap fitting (belt mount) of probable post-medieval date (1500-1700). The strap fitting is broadly lentoid (tear drop shaped) in plan and sub-rectangular in profile; the edges are bevelled / faceted. The front face is plain and undecorated; it is possible that it has been decorated with an applied tin surface. The reverse face of the fitting is slightly dished and irregular and also undecorated. An incomplete cast copper alloy hooked button of probably post medieval or early modern date 1600-1800. The artefact comprises a cast domed fitting with a soldered length of copper alloy sheet on one edge which is folded back upon itself to form a crude hook. On the reverse face - within the concave dish, is an irregular cast loop similar to that seen on buttons of the 18th century. It is possible that this artefact was originally designed as a sword belt hook or accessory; however the loop is slight and probably could not take a significant weight. A Post Medieval cast copper alloy dress hook, also known as a dress clasp or clothes fastener of lantern type (1500-1650 AD). The dress hook is made of a single piece of cast copper alloy. The reverse plate of dress hook is missing. The body of the dress hook is an elongated trapezoid in plan. In section the body is semi-circular with slide flanges. A complete Post Medieval (1600-1750) cast coppy alloy thimble. This is a closed thimble with sides that would of originally tapered, but are now crushed, and a flat top. There are irregular hand drilled holes around the outside, forming a spiral which starts on the crown. There is a plain band around the base. The thimble is olive-brown in colour. There is light green corrosion in some of the holes. It measures 20.1mm high and its wall is 0.8mm thick. It weighs 4.5g.

An incomplete post medieval belt mount or strap fitting of Post Medieval date (1500 - 1700). The mount is cast from copper alloy, and is flat in cross-section apart from a projecting stud. The mount has a simple openwork design consisting of lentoid lobes, each with a single lentoid piercing. The lobes share their innermost sides and meet at the middle. A cast lead weight of post medieval date. The unmarked weight is broadly flat and broadly circular in plan. It has a pronounced and battered, irregular rim, which is most prominent on the top side. The irregular nature of the rim is probably due to knocks in the plough soil, which have also slighlty bent the weight and left a couple of gouges. The weight has a yellow grey patina all over. The maximum diameter of the weight is51.0mm, and its maximum thickness, from the rim, is 11.2mm. It weighs 139.6g (4.92 oz).
