An incomplete, heavily abraded Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type dating from AD 90-130. The brooch has been heavily abraded during its time in the soil. It is undecorated. The bow is hump-shaped, and less than half of it remains. The foot and catch plate have been lost. One of the two wings has been broken off, the other remains which is semi-cylindrical in shape. A 17th-century post-medieval copper-alloy quarter ounce trade weight, dating from the reign of Charles I or II (1625-1685). The pan weight is formed of a thick disc. On the front there is a raised circumferential rim with an incuse ring at the centre, surrounded by fine circumferential turning marks. A complete, cast lead spindle whorl of probable Medieval date. It is biconical in shape, with a circular perforation in the centre. The whorl has been miscast, with a leak in the mould resulting in the lead from one side forming as blobs on the other. One of these blobs detached from the whorl as the artefact was being recovered and this blob has been weighed with the rest of the artefact. An incomplete copper-alloy hooked mount of post-medieval date (c. 16th century). The plate of the hook is flat backed and sub-rectangular. The attachment end is slightly rounded, and the plate then expands slightly along its length, until before the hook there is a cusped collar with a semicircular removal on each side, above which a smaller removal. A post-medieval silver sixpence of James I (1603-1625). Third coinage (North 2126). Initial mark: trefoil, dated 1624 (on coin). Mint of London (Tower). North (1975, 124). Worn, it measures from 25.4 to 26.6mm in diameter, 0.6mm in thickness, and weighs 2.61g The coin has ben struck slightly off flan. The edge of the coin has been crumpled, probably from abrasion in the plough soil.

An incomplete post-medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle dating to c. 1650-1720. What remains is one loop and the bar of frame. The buckle has cast floral decoration with a rosette at the centre of the outer edge of the loop (rose shaped knop) and sub-triangular protrusions at both ends of the narrowed pin bar in the form of moulded lis. The protrusions at the pin bar would have sat at the centre of pronouncedly incurved top and bottom edges. A clipped post-medieval silver shilling of James I (1603-1625). Uncertain coinage (North 2072-2073, 2099-2101, 2124-2125). Initial mark: unclear, dating to 1603-1625. Mint of London (Tower). North (1975, 121-124). This coin has been heavily clipped inside of its inner bead circle, so the legends have been removed. The obverse is very worn with only the XII denomination and the crown showing. The reverse is worn with only the outline of the shield and the bottom two quarters showing. The maximum diameter is 20.5mm, it is 0.7mm thick, and weighs 2.10g.
