A sherd of pottery from a Roman vessel. The sherd is from the rim of a Severn Valley Ware vessel. The fabric is coarse and orange-buff in colour with a grey core. The vessel wall turns outwards towards the rim which is simply rounded.
The vessel wall thins slightly from the rim down. At the rim it is 8.4mm thick and further down its 6.1mm.
The sherd is 24mm high, 18mm wide and weighs 5.1g.

A complete lead cast token of probable post-medieval date. The crude uniface token has a simple cast pattern of a cross (Powell Type 14). The token is sub oval in shape and grey in colour.
The token weighs 9.23g. The thickness varies from 2.6mm to 2.8mm. The token is 22.8mm long by 20.0mm wide.

An incomplete clay pipe dating between 1660 and 1700. This artefact consists of just the bowl and foot. The bowl is bulbous and about 22 degress from perpendicular to the foot. There is a simple band of vertical indentations below the bowl rim. There is no makers stamp on the foot.
The bowl opening varies from 10.1mm to 10.6mm in diameter. The pipe is 36.3mm high, with a maximum diameter in its middle of 20.7mm. It weighs 12.2g.

A complete cast lead weight of Roman to Post Medieval date. This irregular crude weight is domed and sub oval in plan, with a piercing. The peircing is off centre and tapers from bottom to top. The weight is plain with a cream patina.
Height 11.3mm. Length 24.3mm, width 22.5mm. Peircing Diameter (maximum) 7.22mm on underside, 5.6mm on the top. Weight 31.9g (1.12oz).

A complete copper alloy finger ring of probable Post Medieval date. The ring is a plain band with flecks of gilt on the outside, and more extensive gilt on the inside. There is no hallmark or inscription.
The outer diameter is 18.1mm. The band is 1.3mm thick and 6.2mm wide. It weighs 2.08g.

An incomplete post-medieval cast copper-alloy strap-fitting. The artefact consists of a blunt hook, bent slightly to one side, which holds a separate pendent ring. Above the hook the mount is sub oval with two lugs above that bifurcate forming a V shape. Beyond this is mount is broken, so that it is now incomplete. The mount was attached by a single iron rivet in the centre of the oval element, just below the bifurcation, the corroded remains of which are still present in the fitting. The hook and loop are plain with a well developed mid-green patina.

A copper-alloy buckle of medieval or post-medieval date, incomplete in so far as it is missing its pin. The frame is a plain, formed of two conjoined oval loops. There is a small notch acting as a pin rest central on the front of one of the loops. In cross-section the frame is a rounded rectangle. The buckle has a mid-green patina with small specs of light green corrosion product.
The frame is 39.4mm long, 27.0mm wide and 2.9mm thick. It weighs 6.41g.
Similar buckle frames are illustrated by Whitehead (2003, 52-53; nos. 291-299) which are given a wide date range, c. 1350-1650.

A complete Medieval or Post Medieval (AD 1200-1800), cast, lead alloy token. The uniface token is broadly round and uniface. The cast linear pattern consists of a voided cross over a voided saltire. The token has a light grey to cream patina over a mid grey core.
Its maximum diameter is 16.2mm, it is 1.4mm thick and weighs 2.03g.

A fragment from a cast copper alloy pot leg of Medieval or Post Medieval Date. This fragment is irregularly shaped having come from a badly miscast hollow area of the leg, and does not form a complete cross-section of the leg. There are bubbles in the metal around the hollow. The fragment is a matt black colour all over.
It is not possible to measure any of the original dimensions of the leg.
The fragment weighs 15.6g. It is 32mm wide, 30mm tall and 16mm thick.

A fragment from a cast copper alloy vessel of Medieval or Post Medieval date. This fragment comes from the rim where there is a pronounced, outward facing lip that is a quarter circule in cross section with a flat top. The vessel wall slopes inwards at about 22.5 degrees from the vertical.The vessel is a dark green-black in colour with a smooth burnished finish. The vessel wall is 1.2mm thick. The fragment represents 8% of the rim and the rim diameter would of been 11cm. The vessel was possibly a chaffing dish.
The fragment weighs 6.75g, and is 18mm tall by 31mm wide.
