A complete silver "hammered" penny of Henry III (1216-1272). This 'voided' long cross penny is class 3a2 dating it to 1248-1249. It was minted in Gloucester by the moneyer Lucas.
Diameter 18.0mm. Thickness 0.9mm. Weight 1.50g.

Incomplete silver penny of Henry III, class 7b. Most of the left hand side has been ripped off, probably by a modern plough. The surviving part of the coin has the rear inscription SMVNDE ON which can only match Osmund of Canterbury.
