A copper alloy, rolled sheet rivet of late medieval or post medieval date. Both ends have been flatened so the rivet has been fitted, probably in the construction or repair of a sheet metal vessel. The rivet has a brown colour with a developing deep green patina and areas of light green corrosion. The sheet was about 0.7mm thick. The larger flattened face is 14.9mm by 10.1mm. The rivet is 11.8mm long (ignoring the small outward fold of the larger face which has probably occured after use). At its narrowest the stem is approximately mm in diameter. It weighs 4.7g.

The stem tapers, suggesting it was formed from a kite shaped piece of sheet rolled into a cone. The rivet has a brown colour with extensive light green corrosion. The sheet was about 1.3mm thick.
