Post-Medieval hooked tag of copper alloy with foliate decoration, resembling a Lilly. This is the eye section of the tag. This flat eye has a rectangular attachment end into which the blunt hook would fit, and a sub oval plate which originally had 3 attachment knops. It dates to the late 16th or 17th centuries. The decoraton is engraved and punched. Weight 3.8g. Length 31.0mm, Width 25.6mm, Thickness 1.4mm. Weight 4.0g.

This plain artefact has a dark green patina. There are file marks from when the artefact was finished. There is no sign of a pin rest. Cast copper alloy furniture fitting of post medieval date (1450-1750). The fitting is incomplete being a fragment from a drop handle (or draw pull). Only the lower section survives, the rectangular upper loop is lost and the break is relatively worn and abraded, suggesting damage in antiquity. The plate of the handle is sub-rectangular in both plan and cross section; the edges are bevelled. A copper alloy, rolled sheet rivet of late medieval or post medieval date. Both ends have been flatened so the rivet has been fitted, probably in the construction or repair of a sheet metal vessel. The stem tapers, suggesting it was formed from a kite shaped piece of sheet rolled into a cone. The rivet has a brown colour with extensive light green corrosion. The sheet was about 1.3mm thick. A medieval - post medieval (1350-1650) double looped (specticle) buckle frame. The frame is complete and consists of two near symmetrical loops. The frame is flat on one side, and rounded on the other. There are no remains of the pin or a rest, and the frame is slightly distorted. The central axis bar is narrower than the frame. The buckle is cast in copper alloy. It is brown in colour with green corrosion. 41.6mm long (would be a couple of mm longer if straightened), 40.1mm wide, 2.2mm thick. Weight 9.7g A comparison can be seen in Whitehead page 53 ref 294.

A late post medieval sub-annular buckle frame. This small frame is sub-oval in shape, and has two D shaped loops. The rear face is flat and the front face rounded. The pin is missing. The frame is made form a copper alloy. It is undecorated and is brown in colour with green corrosion, the flat rear has file marks. Similar examples are recorded in Whitehead page 48 ref 278-279 dated to the period 1650 - 1720 Length 19.2mm. Width 17.6mm. Weight 1.6g

An incomplete cast copper alloy Medieval vessel / pot leg. This copper alloy leg is missing the top and some of its left side. It has a hooved foot and the leg above was probably semi-circular above. In profile it is a very shallow D shape, with a single rounded ridge running along the length of the leg, this ridge is off centre and terminates at the right hand side of the foot. The pot leg is yellow-green, with deposits of black soot. Height 45.8mm, width 42mm, thickness (including ridge) 16.1mm. Weight 109.3g

An incomplete, early post medieval sharp hooked clasp. The one piece clasp is cast in copper alloy and has a dark green patina. This clasp would of had a rectangualr attachment-loop in the same plane as the plate, but only a fragment of one side remains of this loop. The hook is also missing, with just a stub at the collar where it joins the plate. The plate is sub circular and decorated with moulded relief and open work. A late post medieval buckle. The buckle frame is oval and it curves inwards suggesting it was a shoe buckle. The buckle has a chape that is now fused to the frame and the chape has a stud at it terminal that held it to the shoe. The frame has a central pin and drilling does not extend through to the outside of the frame. The tongue is broken with only it stub remaining. Copper alloy fragment from a tap of post medieval or early modern date (1600-1850). The fragment consists of the lower spigot / barrel which projects into the body of the barrel. The outer edge is grooved with a series of tapering broadly parallel ridges and the interior is smooth. All the broken edges are relatively fresh being unpatinated. The fragment is a mid grey green colour with a powdery surface patina. The fragment measures 18.1mm length, 14.3mm width, is 2.5mm thick and weighs 4.15 grams

An incomplete cast copper alloy hooked button of probably post medieval or early modern date 1600-1800. The artefact comprises a cast domed fitting with a soldered length of copper alloy sheet on one edge which is folded back upon itself to form a crude hook. On the reverse face - within the concave dish, is an irregular cast loop similar to that seen on buttons of the 18th century. The reverse plate of dress hook is missing. The body of the dress hook is an elongated trapezoid in plan. In section the body is semi-circular with slide flanges.
