An incomplete, heavily abraded Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type dating from AD 90-130.
The brooch has been heavily abraded during its time in the soil. It is undecorated. The bow is hump-shaped, and less than half of it remains. The foot and catch plate have been lost. One of the two wings has been broken off, the other remains which is semi-cylindrical in shape. The wing caps are no longer present. A cast copper alloy post medieval coin weight for weighing a gold coin with a value of 21 shillings which had a mass of 5.9 pennyweights . This weight is marked on both sides with a turned double circle on exterior edge which encloses over 3 lines S // 21 // 5 rosette / sunburst 9. Both faces share the same die axis and the coin weight is a mid-green colour with mild abrasion
The coin weight measures 21.5mm diameter, is 3.0mm thick and weighs 8.19 grams ( .289oz / 126.4 grains)

A cast copper alloy figurine - most probably from the top of a post medieval pipe tamp / tamper (AD 1600-1750). The figure is long, thin and cartoon like with exaggerated arms and legs. The figure is stood in a pose with one hand raising his hat in salute whilst the other hand is wrapped around a large and exaggerated erect penis. A well preserved but incomplete cast copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill type of Roman date (AD 80-120). The wings are complete with flat and pierced end caps. The axis bar, spring and pin are all lost.The external cord of the brooch pin would have fixed to a rearward facing hook positioned at the midpoint on the upper edge of the reverse; this is an abraded stump like projection. An incomplete, cast, copper alloy, Post Medieval button c1600-c1720. The round button has a flat front and integral, drilled shank which has broken across the piercing. There is a crudely engraved design of a five or six bladed impeller, with a central circle and dot, with three further circles between blades near the edge. The button has a dark green patina.

An incomplete, cast, copper alloy buckle frame of medieval or post medieval date, AD c. 1350-c. 1650. The artefact consists of the outer loop of either a single loop, D shaped buckle or a double looped (spectacle) buckle. The frame has a triangular shaped, notched pin rest, with a decorative groove either side. The frame is oval in cross section, and is titled so that the outer face slopes outwards and downwards towards the rear. It has an even mid- green coloured well preserved surface patina.
Weight 2.7g. Remaining length 20mm, width 28mm, thickness 3.8mm.

An incomplete and eroded cast copper alloy brooch of Roman date. The artefact consists of the wings and rear half of the bow, the axis bar, spring, pin and catch plate are lost. The wings are semi-cylindrical in plan with flat end caps that are not pierced. The head of the brooch bow is hump like - being a comma shape in profile. At the rear of the bow is a broken loop. A complete, cast, copper-alloy buckle frame of Medieval to post Medieval date (c1200-c1600). The buckle is a single loop and D shaped, with the rear bar slightly reduced in length. The frame is a narrow oval in cross section, deeper than it is wide. The sides of the bar taper in depth from front to rear, with the rear bar being 3.7mm thick and the outer edge 4.5mm thick.
The frame is 19mm long by 31mm wide.

An incomplete, cast copper alloy pot leg of Medieval to Post Medieval date. The artefact consist of the foot and part of the leg. The foot is broadly D shaped in cross section with a rounded back back and flat face. Ther eis a prominent central ridge running down the centre of the front face. The foot extends beyond the face as a thin rectangular pad. The leg is a dark green in colour with some sooty deposits.
The width is 33mm, the truncated height is 32mm, it is 20mm thick, and weighs 83g.

A near complete, cast copper alloy buckle frame dating c1575-c1700.
The frame is an asymetrical double loop, with a trapezoidal rear loop and a rounded front loop. The frame is decorated with prominent knops at either end of the strap bar. The frame has a flat rear, and a rounded face and sides that taper in slightly from the rear to the front. The strap bar is half round. The strap is dark brown in colour with no sign of any surface coating. The frame can be paralled against examples dated by Whitehead to the period 1575-1700 (1996: 91 ref: 564-565)

The coin is heavily abraded from ploughing with almost all of both surfaces removed, with just a bit of dark green patina remaining of the original surface. The remains consist of the empty spring box, the bow arch and most of the oval bow plate below the arch that extends from the spring box to the tail of the bow, of which only a small stump remains. An incomplete, cast, copper alloy spur from c1600-c1700. The artefact consists of the heel band only. The band is plain and badly mishapen due to a crush and both its terminals are missing. The neck has snapped off leaving just its oval stump on the heel band. The heel band tapers down in both thickness and cross sectional width towards its terminals. It is an half oval in cross section with the flat face on the inside.

A 17th-century post-medieval copper-alloy quarter ounce trade weight, dating from the reign of Charles I or II (1625-1685).
The pan weight is formed of a thick disc. On the front there is a raised circumferential rim with an incuse ring at the centre, surrounded by fine circumferential turning marks. An incomplete copper alloy later early medieval pin. The head is a globular with a small collar directly below. The head is decorated with diagonal grooves that are only clear on the lower half. The shaft is circular in cross-section and is nearly complete, with only the tip recently lost. The shaft has been bent twice, firstly at 90 degrees, and then again a further 45 degrees.

Maximum diameter of shaft 4.12mm.
Bent length 52mm, if straightened about 100mm.

A fragment from the rim of a post medieval, cast copper alloy, chaffing dish.The fragment consists of a dish support with length of rim to one side. The fragment is smooth, with a green patina developing over the grey metal.
