Post Medieval jetton: The 'Lion of Saint Mark' jetton, anonymous issues minted between c. 1500 and 1570 AD.
Obverse: Lion of St Mark standing left: nimbate and winged. Tail is raised and he holds the Book of Gospels. The obverse is barely visible due to wear.
Reverse: Imperial orb surmounted by cross: within a tressure that has three main arches. Paired pellet outside the tressure.
The jetton is creased and cracked.
