Rim sherd of a glazed earthenware vessel - possibly a small bowl or dish - of medieval date (1200-1450). The fabric is a hard earthenware: it is mica rich, having well sorted sparse grit-like and grog inclusions. The fabric is an oxidised orange colour. A green coloured glaze has been applied to the interior of the bowl - it has decayed in places to a muddy brown colour. The sherd measures 37.4mm width, 17.2mm high, 20.6mm thick at rim it weighs 10.86 grams. The diameter of the rim is 20cmm and approximately 5% of the rim survives.

A sherd of pottery from a Roman vessel. The sherd is from the rim of a Severn Valley Ware vessel. The fabric is coarse and orange-buff in colour with a grey core. The vessel wall turns outwards towards the rim which is simply rounded. The vessel wall thins slightly from the rim down. At the rim it is 8.4mm thick and further down its 6.1mm. The sherd is 24mm high, 18mm wide and weighs 5.1g.

An incomplete clay pipe dating between 1660 and 1700. This artefact consists of just the bowl and foot. The bowl is bulbous and about 22 degress from perpendicular to the foot. There is a simple band of vertical indentations below the bowl rim. There is no makers stamp on the foot. The bowl opening varies from 10.1mm to 10.6mm in diameter. The pipe is 36.3mm high, with a maximum diameter in its middle of 20.7mm. It weighs 12.2g.

A sherd of Roman pottery. This fragment is from the handle of a Severn Valley Ware vessel, being rounded on both sides. The vessel was fired in reduced conditions, with only the outer surfaces turning orange, the inner surface is grey like the wide core. The fabric contians micra and has inclusions of black, grey, brown and red-brown grit. The handle is 8.8mm thick. The fragment weighs 14.5g and is 34mm high by 35mm wide.

The surface is pitted. There are inclusions of red-brown grit, black grit and grey grit, coal, pieces of quartz and a spread of micra. The vessel wall flares outwards towards the rim which is simply rounded without a lip. The wall varies in thickness from 9.8mm to 10.4mm thick. The fragment weighs 22.9g, and is 37mm wide by 36mm tall.

A sherd of pottery from the rim of a Post Medieval open bowl. This rim is rounded, protuding on the outside to form a beaded lip. The sherd extends for the full height, 26mm, of the bowl and includes a bit of the base. The sherd is less than 5% of the circumference making the bowl diameter hard to measure. The fabric is hard and course being orange in colour. On the outer surface are patcehs of olive green glaze and larger areas of grey residue from the glaze.
