An incomplete, heavily abraded Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type dating from AD 90-130. The brooch has been heavily abraded during its time in the soil. It is undecorated. The bow is hump-shaped, and less than half of it remains. The foot and catch plate have been lost. One of the two wings has been broken off, the other remains which is semi-cylindrical in shape. The artefact consists of the outer loop of either a single loop, D shaped buckle or a double looped (spectacle) buckle. The frame has a triangular shaped, notched pin rest, with a decorative groove either side. The frame is oval in cross section, and is titled so that the outer face slopes outwards and downwards towards the rear. It has an even mid- green coloured well preserved surface patina. Weight 2.7g. Remaining length 20mm, width 28mm, thickness 3.8mm.

A fragment of pottery remains in the plug, it is orange in colour with some black inclusions of about 5mm diameter. An incomplete post-medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle dating to c. 1650-1720. What remains is one loop and the bar of frame. The buckle has cast floral decoration with a rosette at the centre of the outer edge of the loop (rose shaped knop) and sub-triangular protrusions at both ends of the narrowed pin bar in the form of moulded lis. A complete, cast lead alloy, weight of post medieval date. The weight is flat and broadly circular in plan. It has an abraded , irregular rim, which is most prominent on the top side. The irregular nature of the rim is probably due to movement in the plough soil. On both sides of the weight is a central indentation. The only markings are four irregularly spaced, incised ringlets on one half of the top side. The weight has a yellow grey patina all over. The maximum diameter of the weight is 30.5mm, and its maximum thickness, at the rim, is 5.4mm. It weighs 23.95g ( 0.845oz).

Rim sherd of a glazed earthenware vessel - possibly a small bowl or dish - of medieval date (1200-1450). The fabric is a hard earthenware: it is mica rich, having well sorted sparse grit-like and grog inclusions. The fabric is an oxidised orange colour. A green coloured glaze has been applied to the interior of the bowl - it has decayed in places to a muddy brown colour. The sherd measures 37.4mm width, 17.2mm high, 20.6mm thick at rim it weighs 10.86 grams. The diameter of the rim is 20cmm and approximately 5% of the rim survives.

A copper-alloy buckle of medieval or post-medieval date, incomplete in so far as it is missing its pin. The frame is a plain, formed of two conjoined oval loops. There is a small notch acting as a pin rest central on the front of one of the loops. In cross-section the frame is a rounded rectangle. The buckle has a mid-green patina with small specs of light green corrosion product. The frame is 39.4mm long, 27.0mm wide and 2.9mm thick. It weighs 6.41g. Similar buckle frames are illustrated by Whitehead (2003, 52-53; nos. 291-299) which are given a wide date range, c. 1350-1650.
