A complete silver "hammered" penny of Henry III (1216-1272). This 'voided' long cross penny is class 3a2 dating it to 1248-1249. It was minted in Gloucester by the moneyer Lucas. Diameter 18.0mm. Thickness 0.9mm. Weight 1.50g. In the centre is a shield with the date above, 166? possibly 1662. The border of the shield has 7 saltires, the inner device is worn. The bowl of a post medieval (later 17th century) clay tobacco pipe. This bowl is broadly oval and is at an angle of about 55 degrees to the plane of the flat heel. The stem is oval in cross-section and the bore is offset. The shape, size and angle of the bowl, along with the wide bore of the stem suggest a later 17th century date c1660-1680. There are two incised, rouletted concentric rings approximately 5-8mm below the rim of the bowl. The top ring is plain, the lower one patterned. A complete cast copper alloy ring of probable Roman - Modern date (50 - 1800). The misshapen ring would of been broadly circular in plan, it is oval in cross section. The profile of the ring is distorted, with a thinner area, possibly due to wear. There is no obvious cast or incised decoration present. The ring has a light - mid greenish grey patina with areas of the reddish brown alloy still showing. The patination of the metal would suggest a Medieval or later date. An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy cast buckle. This fragment consists of one loop and the bar from the frame of a plain rectangular buckle. The frame is rectangular in cross-section with a reduced, circular bar. The end of the loop is thinner than the sides, with one corner cut back at an angle, the patina suggests this is due to mis-casting. The frame is heavily abraded, with a green patina and patches of exposed red brown metal. There a flecks of tinning on both sides. The buckle is 25.2mm wide, and the fragment is 19.5mm long. the frame is 2.4mm thick. The fragment weighs 3.30g.

A frgament from a Post Medieval (AD 1550-1650) cast copper alloy buckle. The fragment is from a double loop buckle, consisting of the side and outer edge of one loop and a stub of bar. The fragment is mishapened but the buckle was probably oval. There is lobed protrusion on the outer edge of the loop, there is no decoration where the strap bar joins the frame. in cross-section the frame is a sub-oval and tilted, with it outer side being a quarter circle. An incomplete, cast copper alloy, post medieval buckle. The buckle frame has double oval loops with moulded knops either side of the strap bar. The pin is formed from a tapered copper alloy strip folded around the strap bar. There are notches for the pin in the centre of both loops. The buckle is probably missing a strap plate. A fragment from a medieval copper-alloy 'locking' buckle. This fragment consists of the locking arm, including the thinned section which would have gone through the frame, and, at one end of this latter, the thickened curved arm which has been broken.
