The exterior surface is uneven and abraded; there is no evidence of cast or applied decoration. An irregular cast hole is present piercing the weight from top to bottom, it is filled with the remains of an iron rod, which presumably was looped and aided the safe keeping of the weight. Incomplete fragment of a cast lead or lead alloy weight or possibly steelyard weight of either Roman date (possibly) or late Medieval - Post Medieval date (1350 - 1700). The weight is sub-circular in plan and D shaped (domed) in cross section. The weight is broadly conical with the remains of an iron stud projecting from the base. It is possible that the weight was suspended by this iron stud which is incomplete. A cast lead weight of post medieval date. The unmarked weight is broadly flat and broadly circular in plan. It has a pronounced and battered, irregular rim, which is most prominent on the top side. The irregular nature of the rim is probably due to knocks in the plough soil, which have also slighlty bent the weight and left a couple of gouges. The weight has a yellow grey patina all over. The maximum diameter of the weight is51.0mm, and its maximum thickness, from the rim, is 11.2mm. It weighs 139.6g (4.92 oz).

A plain, cast lead weight, of probable Post Medieval date. This weight has suffered a couple of heavy plough strikes which have gouged and mishaped it. Originally it was conical in shape with a large central piercing. It has a yellow-white patina, and is grey in colour where abrasion and strikes have occurred. It is 14.5 mm high and has a maximum diameter 26.8mm (although probably less before it was damaged). It weighs 36.8g.
