An incomplete cast copper alloy furniture fitting of post medieval date (1450-1750). The aretfact comes from the lower section of a drop handle (or draw pull). The rectangular upper loop is lost, as is the left hand terminal. The plate of the handle is sub-rectangular in both plan and cross section; the edges are bevelled. The lower edge is bifurcated and curves on the reverse, with a small oval knop positioned on the remaining outer edge. A fragment of a copper-alloy drop handle from an item of furniture of post-medieval date. The fragment consists of the sub-rectangular suspension loop from the top of the handle. The loop has pointed protrusions at each corner, with a pronounced ridge at its lower edge, whose protrusions are less prominent. Below the ridge the handle curves inwards, narrowing as it travels.
The fragment is a dark red brown in colour. Length of fragment 15.2mm, width of fragment 16.6mm, thickness 3.3mm Weight 1.96g

The loop has pointed protrusions at each corner and there is a ropework pattern on the bottom side of the hanging loop. The fragment is a dark red brown in colour.

Cast copper alloy furniture fitting of post medieval date (1450-1750). The fitting is incomplete being a fragment from a drop handle (or draw pull). Only the lower section survives, the rectangular upper loop is lost and the break is relatively worn and abraded, suggesting damage in antiquity. The plate of the handle is sub-rectangular in both plan and cross section; the edges are bevelled.
