A near complete, cast copper alloy buckle frame dating c1575-c1700. The frame is an asymetrical double loop, with a trapezoidal rear loop and a rounded front loop. The frame is decorated with prominent knops at either end of the strap bar. The frame has a flat rear, and a rounded face and sides that taper in slightly from the rear to the front. The strap bar is half round. The strap is dark brown in colour with no sign of any surface coating. Cast copper alloy two part buckle of post medieval date 1690-1760. The buckle frame is sub-rectangular with angled corners in plan and sub-rectangular in cross section. The frame is bowed in profile. It is thickened at the mid point to take a drilled iron spindle which holds both a cast copper alloy pin and sheet metal chape. The frame is decorated with debased C shaped scrolls and cast crowns. A cast copper alloy fragment from a single or double looped buckle of medieval or post medieval date (1250-1700). The fragment is from the outer frame of the buckle; it is crescent shaped in plan and varies in section through its length. The mid part is thickened but there is no evidence of decoration or pin rest / pin recess. It is a mid green colour with an abraded patina which is laminating in places. The frame is quarter rounded on its outer face, with slightly concave sides, and single lobed knop. The strap bar is narrowed and recessed. The buckle as an evenly developed mid green patina. It measures 25.omm long by 23.8 wide, and is 3.2 mm thick. It weighs 3.22g.

A copper-alloy buckle of medieval or post-medieval date, incomplete in so far as it is missing its pin. The frame is a plain, formed of two conjoined oval loops. There is a small notch acting as a pin rest central on the front of one of the loops. In cross-section the frame is a rounded rectangle. The buckle has a mid-green patina with small specs of light green corrosion product. The frame is 39.4mm long, 27.0mm wide and 2.9mm thick. It weighs 6.41g. Similar buckle frames are illustrated by Whitehead (2003, 52-53; nos. 291-299) which are given a wide date range, c. 1350-1650.

An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy cast buckle. This fragment consists of one loop and the bar from the frame of a plain rectangular buckle. The frame is rectangular in cross-section with a reduced, circular bar. The end of the loop is thinner than the sides, with one corner cut back at an angle, the patina suggests this is due to mis-casting. The frame is heavily abraded, with a green patina and patches of exposed red brown metal. There a flecks of tinning on both sides. The buckle is 25.2mm wide, and the fragment is 19.5mm long. the frame is 2.4mm thick. The fragment weighs 3.30g.

A post-medieval copper-alloy rectangular double-looped buckle, incomplete in so far as it is missing its pin. The frame is plain, flat and wide, with bevelled edges and a narrowed pin bar. Corroded, the frame is 35.4mm long by 24.0mm wide. It is 1.5mm thick and weighs 4.75g. It can be compared with an example illustrated by Whitehead (2003, 75; no. 462), which he dates to c. 1570-1700, but without giving archaeological evidence in support of such a date.

This is one loop of a double loop trapezoidal (near rectangular) buckle with pointed ends and a lobed protrusion at either end of the strap bar. The pin is missing. The frame is undecorated and has a grey green patina, with flecks of tinning. The buckle has a shallow cross section with a flat back, a gently curving outer edge, and straight inner edge. This find consists of the frame, which is trapezoidal in shape, with equal sized double rectangular loop and extended wings at one end.
