Only one quarter of the rear legend remains and it contains a litigated ON followed by a W, giving a mint of Winchester, Wilton or Wallingford. Class III, 1248-1250. Incomplete diameter 15.2mm, thickness 0.6mm, weight 0.6g.

An incomplete, cast, copper alloy buckle frame of medieval or post medieval date, AD c. 1350-c. 1650. The artefact consists of the outer loop of either a single loop, D shaped buckle or a double looped (spectacle) buckle. The frame has a triangular shaped, notched pin rest, with a decorative groove either side. The frame is oval in cross section, and is titled so that the outer face slopes outwards and downwards towards the rear. It has an even mid- green coloured well preserved surface patina. Weight 2.7g. Remaining length 20mm, width 28mm, thickness 3.8mm.

A complete, cast, copper-alloy buckle frame of Medieval to post Medieval date (c1200-c1600). The buckle is a single loop and D shaped, with the rear bar slightly reduced in length. The frame is a narrow oval in cross section, deeper than it is wide. The sides of the bar taper in depth from front to rear, with the rear bar being 3.7mm thick and the outer edge 4.5mm thick. The frame is 19mm long by 31mm wide. Weight 5.3g.

A complete cut quarter penny / farthing of Henry III (1216-1272). This is an Irish coin from Dublin mint dating 1251 - 1254. We have the obverse from about 8 O'Clock to 11 O'Clock, with the bottom left corner of the Irish single bordered triangle, with the kings hand in the corner holding the sceptre and the letters EX in the legend, and two ringlets of the kings hair with pellets inside. A complete, cast, lead, spindle whorl of probable Medieval date. It is biconical in shape, with a circular perforation in the centre. It has a cream patina. The weight is heavily abraded with multiple gouges so it is hard to say whether it was plain or decorated. Diameter 25mm, height 17mm. The diameter of the central hole is 9mm. Weight 37.4 grams.

A cast copper alloy fragment most probably from a medieval 'roller' buckle (1350-1500). The fragment is relatively small comprising a pointed oval hoop from which extends two horizontal bars - one either side . The mid point of one side of the oval has a deliberate worn pin rest / notch. The buckle is a mid grey green colour with an applied black coloured surface - possibly decayed tinning. A fragment from the frame of a Medieval, cast, copper alloy buckle. The heavily corroded fragment comes from the curved, outer end of a single looped, D shaped buckle. The fragment includes a rounded, triangular central extension on which the pin would of rested without a notch The arms of the frame are twisted and abraded, and both end before the strap bar. The longer arm turns inward near its end which might suggest a narrowed strap bar. A cast copper alloy single looped buckle of medieval date (1250-1400). The frame of the buckle is broadly D shaped in plan and sub-rectangular in cross section. The buckle frame is complete at one edge it has a recessed and off-set strap bar which has a square shaped cross section. A complete, cast lead spindle whorl of probable Medieval date. It is biconical in shape, with a circular perforation in the centre. The whorl has been miscast, with a leak in the mould resulting in the lead from one side forming as blobs on the other. One of these blobs detached from the whorl as the artefact was being recovered and this blob has been weighed with the rest of the artefact. Rim sherd of a glazed earthenware vessel - possibly a small bowl or dish - of medieval date (1200-1450). The fabric is a hard earthenware: it is mica rich, having well sorted sparse grit-like and grog inclusions. The fabric is an oxidised orange colour. A green coloured glaze has been applied to the interior of the bowl - it has decayed in places to a muddy brown colour. The sherd measures 37.4mm width, 17.2mm high, 20.6mm thick at rim it weighs 10.86 grams. The diameter of the rim is 20cmm and approximately 5% of the rim survives.

This fragment is irregularly shaped having come from a badly miscast hollow area of the leg, and does not form a complete cross-section of the leg. There are bubbles in the metal around the hollow. A fragment from a cast copper alloy vessel of Medieval or Post Medieval date. This fragment comes from the rim where there is a pronounced, outward facing lip that is a quarter circule in cross section with a flat top. The vessel wall slopes inwards at about 22.5 degrees from the vertical.The vessel is a dark green-black in colour with a smooth burnished finish. The vessel wall is 1.2mm thick. The fragment represents 8% of the rim and the rim diameter would of been 11cm. The vessel was possibly a chaffing dish. The fragment weighs 6.75g, and is 18mm tall by 31mm wide.

A complete cast lead alloy Medieval spindle whorl. It is biconical in shape, with a circular perforation in the centre. The whorl has a hole in one side due to a casting flaw. One end of the piercing has a rounded lip. There is no descernable decoration. The spindle is light grey in colour. The spindle is 24.8mm in diameter, and 14.0mm high.
