An incomplete copper alloy later early medieval pin. The head is a globular with a small collar directly below. The head is decorated with diagonal grooves that are only clear on the lower half. The shaft is circular in cross-section and is nearly complete, with only the tip recently lost. The shaft has been bent twice, firstly at 90 degrees, and then again a further 45 degrees. Diameter of head 7.63mm. Maximum diameter of shaft 4.12mm. Bent length 52mm, if straightened about 100mm. Weight 7.7 grams. A similar pin has been recorded from Icklingham, Suffolk (SF-EBC150) …

A possible, incomplete cast lead alloy (pewter?), disc brooch of Weetch type 5 and early medieval date (10th century AD). There is some debate as to whether this is actually part of a brooch or possibly a post medieval lead token; due to significant areas of damage it is impossible to be certain of the identification. However, it is the recorders assessment that the diagnostic elements of design and potential fittings on the reverse suggest that this is a brooch. An incomplete cast copper alloy ball-headed pin head of probable mid - late Early Medieval date c. 700-1000 AD. The pin head is incomplete. The head is spherical with four rounded knops projecting from the sides and a slightly larger top knop. The shaft / shank is broken and incomplete, at the junction between head and shank is a raised slight collar. The shank then tapers and expands along its length until a broken and abraded edge.
