Two copper alloy fragments, almost certainly part of the same object, of uncertain date and function, although stylistically possibly early medieval in date (c. 500-1100AD). The fragments appear to be from the same object, although they do not join.  They comprise a narrow sub-circular bar terminating in a zoomorphic head, possibly a lion or mythological beast.  The mouth of the animal forms a loop (broken in one example) that may have formed a suspension loop. Details on the heads have been picked out in incised grooves. The object bears similarities to modern Makara b…

Unidentified object of unknown date. Copper alloy strip with three parallel grooves running the full length of the object on the outer face, and four on the inner face. These grooves appear to contain traces of black, or very dark blue, enamel. The upper edge of the object, and the two short ends, are smooth and slightly round and therefore appear to be a finished, undamaged edges. The long lower edge of the object, however, is slightly rough. It is unclear if this is a broken edge. If it is, the patination would suggest it is an old break.
