A copper alloy probable buckle fragment of Post Medieval date, c. AD 1550 - 1650. The object is only a fragment and consists of the centre part of the outer edge frame. It is pointed oval in cross section. It is decorated with a sub-triangular moulding, containing a raised lozenge shape and two annulets. Either side of this moulding is a raised collar. The reverse is undecorated.  The buckle is green / grey in colour with an even surface patina.  Measurements: length 16.4mm, width 6.6mm, thickness 3.9mm, weight 1.2 grams. An incomplete Medieval copper alloy buckle with plate, dating to c. AD 1250-1650. The inner edge of a cast single looped buckle frame with a narrowed and offset strap bar retained by a sub-triangular metal plate secured by folding around the strap bar. It has a slot at the centre where it folds over the strap bar, which would have once contained the missing pin. It has a green / brown coloured uneven surface patina. A fragment probably from a copper alloy double loop buckle of post medieval date c. AD 1650-1720. The buckle fragment consists of only one side of the outer frame and a small piece of the central strap bar.  It is rectangular in cross-section and has no decoration present on either side.  The surface is light-green in colour with a worn surface patina.   The fragment measures 36mm in length, 15.2mm width and is 2.4mm thick. A incomplete cast copper-alloy "cooking pot" loop-chape for a shoe buckle, dating to the Post-Medieval period (c.AD 1690-1720). The loop-chape is formed of trapeziodal loop with a single triangular internal spike on the outer edge. The frame has two drilled spindle terminals but does not have the spindle or tongue. The loop-chape has a green even surface patina. An incomplete copper alloy Medieval sub-annular buckle dating circaAD 1650-1720. The double looped buckle is sub-annular in shape, decorated with multiple trasnverse grooves on the surface of the frame. The central strap bar is missing and the hole for this is visible on either side of the bar. The buckle is smooth, with an even black surface patina on the front, but an uneven surface patina on the bacl. It is similar to no. 280 in Whitehead (2003, p. 48). An incomplete copper alloy Medieval spectacle buckle dating circaAD 1400-1600. The double looped buckle has oval-shaped loops, decorated with multiple oblique incised lines running over the front of the frame. A section of one of the loops is missing. The buckle is worn, with a rough and uneven surface patina. It is similar to no. 287 in Whitehead (2003, p. 52). Whitehead notes that buckles of these type are extremely common and found in contexts spanning the whole of the mid-14th to late-17th centuries.
