A Roman incomplete copper-alloy finger ring-key possibly dating to circa AD 200-410. The ring is possibly of the key finger-ring (or 'ring-key') that were associated with small boxes and caskets of personal possessions rather than doors or cupboards. The hoop of the finger ring is complete and is broadly circular in plan. The hoop has a squared cross section. At the centre of the hoop is a broadly triangular raised ridge. A possible Medieval to Post Medieval lead sylus, dating to circa (AD 1200-1500). The object is cylindrical in cross section. It is broad at one end with a flat ended terminal and tapers towards a narrower blunted point. The object has been slightly bent along the shaft. It has an off-white to grey coloured patina across all surfaces. This type of stylus would probably have been used for marking slate and was in use extensively during the Medieval to Post Medieval periods, they are therefore difficult to date accurately. An incomplete copper alloy enamelled disc brooch dating to the Roman period (c. AD 80-250). The brooch is round in plan and flat in profile. The face of the brooch has been stamped with an inscription across two lines reading: SIA // MAS. A raised horizontal ridge separates the top line of lettering from the bottom line. A Medieval copper alloy strap fitting in the form of a swivel dating to circa AD 1100-1300. The swivel is circular in plan and oval in profile, with a square sectioned copper alloy arm projecting from the centre of each of the sides. Both of the arms are broadly square in plan, with rounded corners at the ends terminals. The bar is slightly narrowed as it passes through the rounded swivel. An incomplete copper alloy socketed, side-looped spearhead, dating from the early Middle Bronze Age (c.1550-1250 BC). The spear can probably be assigned to Davis's Group 7 'Special Side Looped'. The object has a broken blade of indented quadrilateral section. There is a prominent longitudinal mid-rib on both sides of the spear blade and abraded cutting edges. Approximately one third of the blade has been broken off. The socketed end of the spear measures 15.76mm in diameter. The single side loop towards the base of the socketed end has since broken away. An incomplete lead or lead alloy lion headed mount, probably dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1500 - c. AD 1700). The mount is oval in plan and D-shaped in cross section. It consists of a lion's head, and surrounding mane, all in relief facing outwards. The detail of the face and mane are slightly abraded though the it is clear that the lion is looking to the left.
