An incomplete, Medieval, silver halfgroat of Edward III (AD 1327 - AD 1377), Pre-Treaty Period, Series G, Standard Type F dating to the period AD 1356 - AD 1361. POSVI DEVM ADIVTORE M reverse type. Initial Mark: Cross 3 on reverse. Obverse Initial Mark is missing. Pellets either side of A in T.A.S in reverse legend. Mint of Tower of London. North Vol II, page 53, No 1204. Diameter: 21.8 mm Thickness: 1.4 mm Weight: 2.0 g Coin is missing a piece from the top on the obverse. Moneyer appears to have missed the flan when striking the reverse.

A Medieval silver halfpenny of Edward III (AD 1327-1377) dating to AD 1344-1351 (Third Florin coinage). Mint of London. Withers type 12. Looped crown and extra pellet in one quarter. North (1991) Vol 2. No. 1132. The edges of the coin have been damaged and the coin possibly jumped in the die. The A in TAS is double struck.
