What appears a scrap piece of lead, contained within an incised  cross, carved in the Cross Pattee style, probably of Medieval date. c. 1150-1400. The depth, angle and shape of the incision is uniform, precise and even, suggesting this was possibly a test piece. This shape is reminiscent of a Cross Pattee style, with  angled arms. The two horizontal arms are markedly longer than the vertical arm, which is shorter, but with the same widening of the arms towards their end points. The vertical lower part of the cross is longer and narrowe…

A smooth, stone or ceramic sphere of Medieval to Post Medieval date, AD 1600 - 1850.  The sphere is very smooth, seemingly polished. The surface is a dark yellow to brown colour.   The sphere is 23.5mm in diameter and it weighs 16.5 grams. Stone and clay 'marbles' have appeared on 17th-19th century sites in America and Europe. Some possibly were bottle stoppers which then were reused as gaming pieces.

An incomplete thin sheet of copper-alloy, possibly a fragment of decorated mount. The object has a degraded surface, and has an irregular shape, broadly rectangular, with signs of breakage on two of its longer sides. On one side, the object is semi-circular in shape at its upper end. Within this semi-circular shape is an aperture, approximately 3mm in diameter, where possibly a rivet or nail attached it to another object. On the opposite side is the remains of another drilled aperture, and an old break, suggesting possibly this side also matched the shape of the opposin…

An unidentified object dating possibly from the late medieval to Post Medieval period (1400-1700), possible being a furniture or leather mount, or a book cover fitting. The object is long and slender in construction, with a knop at the central point of its wider end, which is irregular in shape, suggesting that it is incomplete, and above this is a copper-alloy rivet, where it once would have been attached to an object. Above the rivet is a crease approximately 4mm deep, and smooth in appearance, suggesting that at this point the object was folded around an object. The&…

An incomplete lead alloy uncertain artefact of uncertain function and form, probably of Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1800). The artefact is cylindrical in shape. The ends are incomplete. Along the length of the body, are longituditual ridges, with possible zig zag decoration between them. It has a length of 19.5 mm, is 11.3 mm wide and 8.6 mm thick. It weighs 11.7 g.
