An incomplete Post-Medieval copper-alloy strap mount with suspension loops. The strap fitting is probably from a sword belt and dates to the 16thcentury. The strap mount is a flat piece of copper alloy, broadly rectangular in plan with two complete suspension loops on the lower edge. The loops project downwards at 90 degrees from the bottom edge of the mount and have circular perforations. A complete example is illustrated in Read (2001) and depicts the now missing hooked plates which would have hung from the suspension loops; in turn, the scabbard straps would have been attached…

An incomplete copper alloy toggle clasp of Early Post Medieval dating, circa AD 1500 to AD 1700. The object has a straight bar at one short edge with a rivet hole adjacent. Either side of the rivet hole are semi circular cut outs. Extending from this, is a section with a central circular perforation with trifoliate knops above and below as decoration. The perforation has an internal diameter of 6.4 mm. The object then extends to a rectangular shaped projection that is incomplete and has a damaged terminal. An incomplete copper alloy strap slide of Post Medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1700). Around 50% of the strap slide is present. It consists of a flat curvilinear plate with splayed bifid terminals. It tapers to a blunt incomplete point. The plate is decorated on the front surface with an incised foliate design. The object is composed of three integral parts, a domed plate with an attachment loop at either end. One loop is rectangular and is attached to the longer side of the domed plate.
