An incomplete Post Medieval base silver penny of Edward VI (AD 1547-1553). Third period (North 1945), initial mark illegible but would be escallop, dating to AD 1551-3. London mint. North (1991: 124). Coin is very worn and has been clipped across the top of the reverse. Overall dimensions: 14.5mm in diameter and 0.59g in weight.
