The coin is clipped around the entire circumference, and shows signs of wear on the bust and around both obverse and reverse legends. On the obverse the legend reads EDWR ANGL DNS HYB, and the mint mark is a cross pattée. There is possibly a wedge between the R and A, although this is uncertain due to the clipping. The crown is similar to Fig 27 shown in North (1991, pg. 26), with trifoliate side fleurs and a thin band with spearhead ornaments. The hair is ropey (visible lines mark strands) and the drapery appears to be in one piece without added decoration on the breast, although this area suffers wear so this is not certain. The reverse legend is largely clipped however the letters TOR CIV are visible, making it possible to identify it as Canterbury mint (CIVITAS CANTOR). The reverse has a long cross with three pellets in each angle. This coin is most likely of Class 2a (North number 1014), which dates from January to May 1280.2929128012804WMID2021-09-01T00:00:00Z2021-09-30T00:00:00Z2023-12-05T14:33:32Z2024-03-11T13:44:15Z0.9PAS656F34BC0014EB15.816.1122122141426150521498215064StaffordshireEast StaffordshireCroxdenSK053852.93937187-1.92704873bands.shops.handy8WMID-F3607F2054751177715Crowned bust facing.
