A Roman copper alloy radiate of Carausius (AD 286-93) Reece Period 14. Reverse: LAETITIA AVG, depicting Laetitia holding standing left, holding wreath and anchor. No mintmark / unatttributed mint. RIC V, pt 2 - This is only the second coin of its type known, the other piece being in a private collection. The obverse legend, VIRTVS CARAVSI, proclaims the 'courage' of Carausius, matched by his military attire. This coin was struck in the first years of his reign.
