A medieval silver short-cross penny, probably of Henry III (AD 1216-1272).  The coin obverse has half of the crowned bust and half of a voided short cross. Possibly due to the coin flipping in the die when struck. From what can be seen of the bust, the hair has curls with no pellets which puts it into class 7, dating to c. AD 1217-1242. North (1991) no's 978-980.
